If you enjoy music and dance, plan a romantic evening at the ballet.  Ballet Arizona offers several performances each year in Phoenix, with ticket prices starting at $15.  The Phoenix Symphony frequently performs live along with the ballet. 

Fliers for Ballet ArizonaLadies, be warned.  Not all gentlemen will enjoy this date.  We watched the 2010 performance of “Balanchine Classics.”  I was enthralled with the live music, costumes, and dancing.  My husband was not!  If it is your first time at the ballet, you may want to look for a short performance, or one which offers a well-known story line.  Performances are staged at the Orpheum Theater and the Phoenix Symphony Hall.

In the fall, watch for “Ballet Under the Stars.”  Ballet Arizona presents free performances in parks all around Phoenix.  Also, you can watch some rehearsals for free.  Check their website for up-to-date times and dates.
