DinnerThere is a lot to enjoy on a date to Pizzeria Bianco. The pizza is obviously the main attraction. Made with high quality ingredients and baked in a brick oven, it was voted the "Best Pizza in America" by Every Day with Rachel Ray.  We haven't tried every pizza in America, but we can tell you the pizzas are GOOD.

Menu and beer at Pizzeria BiancoPizzeria Bianco is small, and they don't take reservation for groups of under six people, so there is always a wait.   This can be annoying for some people, but we were able to turn the wait into a fun part of the date.

The fron of Pizzeria Bianco in the Historic Heritage SquareWe arrived at about 5 pm on a Wednesday night, and the wait was about 45 minutes long.  We went next door to the Bar Bianco, which serves local wines and a has good selection of beer.  We sat out on the patio, enjoyed the pleasant evening, chatted, and sipped our drinks.  When our table was ready, the server came to let us know.

The porch at Bar BiancoThe interior of the restaurant was quaint and charming.  The building is an old brick building, and there is the large oven in the corner.  In spite of being full, it didn't feel overly crowded to us.  We pretty hearty eaters, so we each ordered a whole pizza, and that proved to be a good amount of food.  The pizzas are large, but the crust is thin.  This is the  Margherita, made with tomato sauce, monzeralla and fresh basil.

This is the Sonny Boy, made with tomato sauce,  mozzarella, salami, and Gaeta olives.

We both really enjoyed this date- we liked the bar, we liked the restaurant, and we liked the pizza.  Somehow the quaint setting and the famous food made it easy to keep the conversation flowing.  This is definitely a great way to go out for dinner!
