The Salt River Tubing shuttle busRent tubes and buy shuttle tickets from Salt River Tubing.  You can rent a separate tube for your cooler, if you want to take one.  A shuttle will take you to your starting point and pick you up at the end of your float.  There are several starting points, so you can plan your float to take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours.

Floating down the Salt RiverOnce on the river, relax and soak up the sun and scenery.  Swim if you like.  Shoot some rapids.  Watch for wildlife while you enjoy your drinks and snacks.  Alcohol is permitted on the river, although glass of any kind is not.

A group of tubers on the Salt RiverYou should know that there may be groups on the river who are loud and annoying.  We've tubed the river three times and encountered this twice.  We just paddled downstream till we were out of earshot.
