Wildlife World Zoo
For a relaxed, fun date, go on a mini safari right here in Phoenix! Visit the World Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium in Litchfield Park. The zoo has a large variety of animal exhibits. It includes standards like a rhino, a white tiger, a panther, and wart hogs.
You can wander among kangaroos and feed lorry parrots. There are exotic bird displays, a small mammal exhibit, a baby animal nursery, and three large aquarium exhibits. You can often get quite close to the animals.

Although ticket prices were rather expensive at $27.50 for each adult, once inside we spent four happy hours viewing all the animals. We were able to pet the sting rays, feed lorry parrots, and visit the petting zoo for free. You can feed the giraffes or ducks for only 50 cents.
You can also ride a safari train, water ride, skyride, or carousel although they cost $2-$4 extra. If you get hungry there are snack bars, or the Restaurant Tiberon can serve you a full meal right next to the shark tank.
Most of the exhibits are outdoors, so visit on a cool day and wear comfortable shoes. The layout was very family friendly, and this would be a great outing if you want to take the kids along.
